Langtang Gosaikunda Helambu Trek is a combination of three different enticing destinations- Langtang valley, Gosaikunda Lake and the Helambu valley of the Langtang region. The highest point of this trek is 4610 meters at the Lauribina pass. The entire destinations have their distinct feature of nature and culture along with the technicality of the trip.
Trek to Langtang Gosaikunda and Helambu begins from Syabrubesi. Langtang valley is the first destination that goes through the rhododendron, oak and bamboo forest. It is a pocket zone of the red panda and other wild animals. Langtang valley is populated by the Tibetan Buddhism influenced Tamang communities who are hospitable people and have their distinct culture and lifestyles. Kyanjin Gumba is the last destination of this part and the trek redirects to the Gosaikunda Lake. It is a sacred destination and the holy Lake has got the myth of religious origin. The Lake has been surrounded by numerous other Lakes and the alpine panoramas are brilliant. The Langtang Lirung, Gosaikunda peak, Ganesh Himal and other Tibetan peaks. Then you cross the Lauribina pass and trek down to the Helambu valley. It is populated by the Sherpa people, but different than of the Khumbu region. The monastery, Chhortens and mani walls show its cultural prosperity. Trekking down to the Melamchi, you drive back to Kathmandu.
